In 1981, Stan Pridham was a mechanic, woodworker, and car buff. He was frustrated by how hard it was to find good tools at fair prices. What started in Stan’s basement became the first KMS Tools (Coquitlam, BC) in 1983, named after his family: Kathy, Marilee, and Stan.

More than 40 years later, we remain 100% Canadian owned and operated. Stan built KMS Tools on "bend-over-backwards" customer service and a hard-working “can do” attitude.
