Kolk Farms Ltd. is seeking a Feed Mill maintenance Technician to join our team and help keep our feed mill operating safely, efficiently, and reliably.

Key Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):
- Operate and monitor feed mill equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and adjustments.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and equipment breakdowns.
- Complete repairs and preventative maintenance as needed.
- Work with conveyors, augers, motors, bearings, belts, chains, hydraulics, and other mill equipment.
- Identify potential equipment problems before they result in downtime.
- Keep equipment and work areas clean and organized.
- Follow all safety, feed safety, and biosecurity procedures.
- Work with the feedlot and maintenance teams to keep feed production running smoothly.
- Maintain basic maintenance and repair records.
- Assist with other feedlot and feed mill duties as required.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on mechanical experience.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and figure out practical solutions.
- Comfortable working with hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Reliable, hardworking, and willing to learn and take on new responsibilities.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to doing the job safely.
- Comfortable working in a dusty, noisy, and physically demanding environment.
- Previous agricultural, feed mill, heavy equipment, welding, electrician, millwright, or industrial maintenance experience is an asset.
