PLC Programmer (North Surrey)
Water treatment manufacturer is looking to add a PLC programmer to their automations group.
We are a private company dedicated to providing exceptional customer service, that has been in business since 1995. Our manufacturing facility is located in Port Kells Surrey. Due to consistent business growth we are looking to add an additional programmer to our staff. This is a permanent fulltime position.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
the ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
a positive attitude, the ability to take initiative, and to learn quickly
Familiar with most of the following Products and associated software:
Ability to program PLC’s using the known 5 IEC 61131 languages
Ability to program HMI’s and SCADA systems
Familiar with most known industrial automation communication protocols (i.e. Modbus, Ethernet, etc.), in addition to standard TCP/IP networking skills
Familiarity with VFD control
The ability to prove your knowledge of control theories (i.e. feed-forward, feedback, batch, and discrete)
The ability to interpret P&IDs, Control Schematics, and Control Narratives to determine programming needs
A safety first attitude
Willingness to submit to drug and alcohol testing upon clients request (necessary for some job sites)
Must be willing to travel throughout Canada for system commissioning and troubleshooting
Instrumentation, control panel construction, electrical certification, or AutoCAD experience would be an asset.

Duties for this position include:
Completing PLC and HMI programming in a timely manner
Working with the Engineering department to complete Factory Acceptance Testing
Involvement in onsite commissioning and operator training
Calibration and programming of transmitters and analyzers
Working in co-operation other trades, with engineering firms, and clients
