Role Description The Facilitator is a contract, on-site role based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada. This role is responsible for delivering health and safety training sessions to diverse groups, including healthcare staff, corporate teams, families, and community organizations. Day-to-day activities include preparing training materials, setting up training spaces, presenting course content, demonstrating safety procedures, and guiding participants through hands-on practice. The Facilitator will assess participant understanding, provide constructive feedback, maintain accurate attendance and training records, and ensure all sessions align with Kore Training’s standards and relevant regulations. Collaboration with the training coordination team to schedule sessions and continuously improve course delivery is also part of this role.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging group training, including strong presentation, public speaking, and facilitation skills.
- Experience teaching or facilitating health and safety programs such as First Aid, CPR, WHMIS, or related courses.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with participants of various ages, backgrounds, and learning styles.
- Organizational and time-management skills to prepare materials, manage class time, and maintain accurate records.
- Relevant certifications in First Aid, CPR, WHMIS, or other safety training programs, or willingness to obtain them.
- Knowledge of health and safety best practices and emergency response procedures in workplace and community settings.
- Comfort with using basic technology and training equipment (e.g., presentation software, AED training units, mannequins).
- Ability to travel within the Greater Toronto Area for on-site training sessions; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are an asset.
- Previous experience in education, healthcare, occupational health and safety, or community training is an advantage.
