Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to manage medium to large-scale IT projects from initiation through successful delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong project governance, financial management, stakeholder engagement, and change management experience, with the ability to manage projects across diverse business and technical environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of medium to large IT projects.
- Oversee daily project management, including scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Monitor, report, and control project progress against approved plans and budgets.
- Manage and engage IT, business, vendor, and senior management stakeholders.
- Develop project plans, status reports, forecasts, RAID logs, and other project documentation.
- Manage project financials and provide regular budget and resource forecasts.
- Control project scope through effective change control and governance processes.
- Forecast resource requirements and manage project teams effectively.
- Take ownership of projects already in progress and drive them through successful completion.
- Identify opportunities to improve project management procedures and methodologies.
- Provide functional and technical understanding of the projects being managed.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 7+ years of Project Management experience in IT environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing IT projects ranging from $250K to $5M, including 2–3 projects valued above $2M.
- Strong experience in project financial management, forecasting, and budget control.
- Proven ability to produce clear, concise, and professional project documentation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with all levels of management.
- Experience working within established project management methodologies and procedures.
- Strong scope, change, risk, issue, and resource management capabilities.
- Experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Ability to manage projects involving multiple business and technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- PMP Certification.
- Previous experience as a Business Analyst.
- Experience with Business Process Re-engineering.
- Experience managing projects involving significant Change Management.
- Experience contributing to improvements in project management processes and methodologies.
