Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced QA Manual Tester with strong hands-on expertise in Android testing and Android Debug Bridge (ADB). The ideal candidate should have solid experience in manual testing of Android applications/devices, debugging issues using ADB commands, test execution, defect reporting, and troubleshooting.
Core Expertise – ADB Testing
- Strong hands-on experience with Android Debug Bridge (ADB).
- Experience using ADB commands for application and device testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
- Install, uninstall, launch, and clear application data using ADB.
- Collect and analyze logcat logs for application and system issues.
- Experience with ADB shell commands for device configuration and troubleshooting.
- Capture screenshots, screen recordings, device information, and application logs using ADB.
- Execute commands to verify application behavior, permissions, processes, packages, and services.
- Troubleshoot application crashes, ANRs, connectivity issues, and device-related problems using ADB.
- Experience testing applications across different Android versions and device configurations.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and execute manual test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts for Android applications.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing.
- Test Android applications across multiple devices, OS versions, screen sizes, and configurations.
- Use ADB extensively for application installation, debugging, log collection, and device-level validation.
- Analyze ADB/logcat logs to identify the root cause of application issues.
- Reproduce, document, and track defects using tools such as Jira or similar defect-management systems.
- Work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve application defects.
- Validate bug fixes and perform regression testing.
- Perform API/backend validation where required using tools such as Postman.
- Validate application permissions, notifications, deep links, network behavior, and device interactions.
- Participate in test planning, requirement analysis, and defect triage meetings.
- Prepare test execution reports and communicate testing status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
