KUTHALA GROUP also offers extensive equipment rental options, large-scale indoor and outdoor storage, and fleet support services such as fuel card programs and 24/7 repairs. In addition, the company operates a private lending division for working capital and large-scale financing, maintains substantial inventories of heavy equipment parts, and develops ongoing real estate investment opportunities. Team members join a dynamic, growth-oriented organization with exposure to multiple business lines and industries.

Role Description The Accounting Assistant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Brampton, ON. The role involves supporting daily accounting operations, including processing invoices, recording expenses, preparing journal entries, and assisting with the maintenance of general ledgers for various divisions. The Accounting Assistant will help reconcile accounts, support the preparation of financial statements, and ensure accurate documentation and filing of financial records. The position also includes working with accounting software, assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities, and responding to internal inquiries related to payments, receivables, and other financial transactions. Collaboration with finance and operations teams is essential to maintain data accuracy and support timely reporting.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in Accounting and Bookkeeping, with the ability to handle day-to-day financial records accurately.
Experience working with Financial Statements, including assisting in preparation, review, and reconciliation.
Proficiency with Accounting Software and related financial tools to manage transactions and reporting.
Basic understanding of Finance principles to support budgeting, cash flow tracking, and internal reporting.
Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Attention to detail, strong numerical skills, and the ability to work with confidential information responsibly.
Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Prior experience in a multi-division or logistics-related business is an asset but not required.
