Your New Role
As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the full-cycle accounts payable function across multiple business entities. Working as part of a collaborative finance team, you will ensure invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time while maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing a high volume of invoices in an accurate and timely manner.
- Matching invoices to supporting documentation and obtaining approvals.
- Managing vendor accounts and resolving payment discrepancies.
- Monitoring accounts payable aging and outstanding balances.
- Performing account reconciliations, including credit card reconciliations.
- Supporting intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.
- Assisting with month-end processes and other accounting projects as required.
- Working closely with operational teams to support the efficient flow of financial information.
This is a fully office-based position located in Bolton, offering consistent hours and an excellent work-life balance with minimal overtime requirements.
What You'll Need to Succeed
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- A minimum of 6 years of accounts payable experience.
- Demonstrated stability and progression throughout your career.
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. A diploma or degree will be considered.
- Experience working within a high-volume transaction environment.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Experience using accounting or ERP systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Experience within construction, manufacturing, logistics, distribution, or another operationally focused industry would be considered an asset.
