Role Description The Bookkeeper role at Kuthala Group is a full-time, on-site position based in Brampton, ON. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, including recording daily transactions, preparing and posting journal entries, and reconciling bank and credit accounts. The Bookkeeper will assist in preparing financial statements, monitoring accounts payable and accounts receivable, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. Day-to-day tasks include working with accounting software, organizing financial documentation, responding to internal inquiries, and collaborating with the finance team to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. The role also involves generating routine financial reports and providing data needed for management review and decision-making.
Qualifications
- Strong bookkeeping skills with experience in maintaining ledgers, posting journal entries, and managing day-to-day accounting records.
- Ability to work with financial statements, including preparation, review, and basic analysis of income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Proficiency with accounting software and related tools, and familiarity with standard finance practices and procedures.
- Attention to detail, strong numerical and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role.
- Knowledge of Canadian accounting standards and relevant regulations; experience in transportation, logistics, or related industries is an asset.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively on-site with cross-functional teams in Brampton, ON.
