About us
La Dole Rugs is a growing Canadian rug company. We import woven area rugs from Turkey and sell across Canada and the US, through our own online store and on Amazon, Wayfair, Walmart, Best Buy, and Rona. Every order, on every channel, ships out of our Abbotsford warehouse. This role is the engine of the business.
The role
This is a hands-on leadership job, not an office job. You'll run the warehouse day to day: receiving overseas containers, keeping inventory accurate across multiple sales channels, and getting orders out the door on time. Rugs are big, heavy, and awkward - this takes someone organized, physically capable, and calm under deadline pressure. You'll work directly with the owners and have real authority to change how things run.
What you'll do
- Own daily operations end to end: receiving, putaway, picking, packing, shipping
- Unload and process inbound containers from Turkey
- Ship DTC and marketplace orders on time, within each channel's SLA (Amazon, Wayfair, Walmart, Best Buy, Rona)
- Book and coordinate carriers - parcel and LTL freight for oversized rugs
- Keep inventory counts accurate across all channels; run regular cycle counts
- Process returns: inspect, restock, or grade for clearance
- Schedule, train, and lead warehouse staff
- Maintain a clean, organized, safe warehouse to WorkSafeBC standards
- Flag slow movers, damages, and stock discrepancies to ownership with real numbers, not guesses
What we're looking for
- Warehouse or logistics experience, including supervising people
- Forklift experience with current WorkSafeBC-recognized operator training
- Able to regularly lift 50+ lbs and handle oversized rolls (team lifts and equipment provided)
- Comfortable with computers: inventory software, Excel/Sheets, email - Shopify or marketplace portals (Amazon Seller Central, Wayfair) a plus
- Detail-obsessed about counts and documentation
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
Nice to have
- Experience with rugs, flooring, furniture, or other bulky goods
- Multichannel e-commerce fulfillment experience
Pay & details
- $23–$30/hour based on skill and experience
- Full-time, 40 hours/week, overtime per BC employment standards
- Stable, growing company. Direct line to ownership. No corporate layers.
