Reporting to the System Coordinator of Alternative and Continuing Education, the Outside Looking In Dance Teacher will work collaboratively with Outside Looking In (https://www.olishow.com/dance) and Kettle and Stony Point First Nation to teach a dance (ATC1O, 2O, 30) program. The program will be offered to Kettle & Stony Point students in grade 8-12. The teacher will be able to use a curriculum that has been developed by Outside Looking In. The program will take place at Hillside School at Kettle & Stony Point and will include:
- dance sessions that are led by Outside Looking In
- practices that are led by Kettle & Stony Point staff
- delivery and evaluation of modules of written activities that support the curriculum expectations

Qualifications/Experience
- Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of Qualification required;
- Knowledge of and experience teaching various arts disciplines that explore or reflect First Nations, Métis, and Inuit perspectives, culture, and traditions is preferred;
- Teaching qualifications or relevant experience in dance;
- Experience working with Indigenous students is an asset.
Position Effective Date & Length
Dance sessions will take place Monday through Friday, 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for approximately five weeks from October to March.
Practices will take place Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. during non-session weeks from October to May.
Rate of pay as per Adult Day School - $60.04/hour
110 paid hours
