Pay Range: CAD 70-75/hr
We are seeking an experienced Java Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Microservices, REST APIs, and AI/GenAI technologies. The ideal candidate will design, develop, integrate, and support scalable enterprise applications while leveraging AI capabilities to enhance application functionality, automation, and user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and Microservices.
- Develop secure and high-performance RESTful APIs and integrate backend services with Angular-based front-end applications.
- Build responsive and reusable UI components using Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, RxJS, and JavaScript.
- Implement business logic and enterprise services using Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and JPA/Hibernate.
- Design and develop microservices-based architectures with API gateways, service discovery, authentication, and distributed communication.
- Integrate AI/Generative AI capabilities into enterprise applications, including LLM APIs, AI-powered automation, intelligent search, document processing, summarization, chatbots, and recommendation capabilities.
- Work with OpenAI/Azure OpenAI or other LLM platforms, prompt engineering, embeddings, vector databases, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.
- Develop AI-enabled APIs and services that connect LLM capabilities with existing Java/Spring Boot applications.
- Design data flows and integrations between Angular, Java microservices, databases, cloud services, and AI platforms.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar technologies.
- Implement authentication and authorization using OAuth 2.0, JWT, OpenID Connect, and Spring Security.
- Develop unit, integration, API, and UI tests using tools such as JUnit, Mockito, Jest, Jasmine, and Selenium/Playwright.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
- Deploy and support applications in AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Monitor application performance, troubleshoot production issues, and perform root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, architects, QA engineers, and DevOps teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Participate in requirements analysis, technical design, code reviews, development, testing, deployment, and production support.

- Knowledge of Prompt Engineering, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and semantic search.
- Experience developing AI-powered chatbots, intelligent assistants, document summarization, classification, extraction, or recommendation solutions.
- Ability to integrate AI services with Java/Spring Boot REST APIs and Angular applications.
- Familiarity with vector databases such as Pinecone, Azure AI Search, pgvector, or MongoDB Vector Search.
- Understanding of AI security, responsible AI, data privacy, and enterprise LLM integration patterns.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of software development experience with strong Java Full Stack expertise.
- 3+ years of experience developing applications using Angular.
- Demonstrated experience implementing AI/GenAI solutions within enterprise applications.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum, SDLC, CI/CD, cloud-native development, and DevOps practices.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, analytical, and collaboration skills.
