Summary
Reporting to the Principal, the Family Support Worker provides guidance and support for at-risk youth and their families.
Required Qualifications
- B.A. - Social Work, Psychology, Family Studies including training in mediation and /or conflict resolution.
- Training in mediation and/or conflict resolution.
- One to two year's related experience.
- Valid BCDrivers License.
- Ability to use tact, discretion and persuasion in contacts with students, staff, parents and the public.
- Ability to interpret, analyze and use judgement in the provision of services and in deciding on a course of action.
- Working knowledge of computers.
- Ability to work with students.
