Latincouver Cultural & Business Society is a non-profit organization that connects over 100,000 Latin Americans and Latin culture enthusiasts across Western Canada. We are a recognized point of reference for the Latin American community in British Columbia, supporting cultural exchange, community development, and economic inclusion.
We are seeking an LCBC Program Coordinator to support the coordination and development of the Latin-Canadian Business Council (LCBC) and its programs. This opportunity is ideal for a proactive, organized, and relationship-oriented professional with experience or interest in program coordination, business development, events, sales, memberships, partnerships, and community engagement.
This is currently a part-time independent contractor opportunity. The scope of the engagement may evolve in the future based on LCBC program development and organizational needs.
Position Details Position Type:
Contractor Scope: Services are anticipated to require approximately 20 hours per week, depending on program activities, deliverables, scheduled meetings, events, and coordination needs.
Contract Fee: CAD $1,647 per month
Location: In-person, Vancouver, BC Key
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the development and delivery of LCBC programs, initiatives, workshops, networking activities, and events.
- Coordinate event logistics, registrations, speakers, partners, participant communications, and project contributors.
- Support LCBC members with onboarding, engagement, inquiries, follow-ups, and renewals.
- Promote LCBC memberships, programs, events, products, and services and follow up with prospective members and clients.
- Support business development and contribute to membership growth, sales, revenue, partnerships, and community engagement goals.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with members, entrepreneurs, businesses, community organizations, and strategic partners.
- Collaborate with Marketing and other internal teams to support LCBC programs, events, memberships, and initiatives.
- Coordinate with volunteers, interns, and other project contributors involved in LCBC activities.
- Track memberships, sales, participation, follow-ups, and program activities and provide regular progress reports.
- Represent LCBC and Latincouver at approved meetings, presentations, networking opportunities, and community events.
Requirements and Skills:
- Education or relevant experience in Business Administration, Project Management, Marketing, Communications, Business Development, or a related field.
- Experience in program coordination, events, business development, sales, memberships, or community engagement.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable with public speaking, presentations, networking, sales, outreach, and professional follow-ups.
- Comfortable building relationships with businesses, members, entrepreneurs, partners, and community stakeholders.
- Proactive, resourceful, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with others.
- Ability to travel locally within Metro Vancouver for relevant meetings, presentations, networking activities, and events.
- Availability for occasional evening or weekend events.
- Knowledge of Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and basic data tracking or CRM tools.
- English required; Spanish or Portuguese is an asset.
