I’m working with an early-stage cybersecurity company building infrastructure to solve one of the biggest challenges emerging from the rise of AI agents: identity and security at scale.
They’re looking for a Senior Rust Engineer who can hit the ground running and take ownership of core backend infrastructure.
This is a hands-on IC role focused on architecture + heavy coding, working directly with the technical leadership team.
What they need:
- Strong production Rust experience
- HSM / hardware security integration
- Experience integrating with HSMs or other hardware security devices is essential. Rust experience here is a major plus.
L4/L7 middleware or reverse proxy development
You should have personally built middleware or a reverse proxy that intercepts and processes network traffic.
Security / cryptography experience
Experience with certificate authorities, certificate lifecycle, key generation, encryption, PKI, or broader cybersecurity is highly valuable.
The role:
- Senior IC - architecture + hands-on engineering
- Work directly with the founders / technical leadership
- Small engineering team with high ownership
- Build core identity infrastructure for AI agents
- Potential to grow into broader technical leadership over time
- Oakville / GTA - ~3 days in office
