TALENT ACQUISITION COORDINATOR
Calgary, Alberta | Lean Six Search · Bottle Rocket Search · Argentum
Three brands. One very useful human.
Some people love doing the same thing every day. Same tasks. Same spreadsheet. Same sandwich. This role is for someone who likes a little more variety.
We’re looking for a Talent Acquisition Coordinator based in Calgary to work closely with our founder and our leadership team across three recruitment brands. Someone who loves people, writes well, enjoys digging in, and gets unreasonable satisfaction from making a messy process work properly.
A true Swiss Army knife of recruitment, HR, talent, process, and social media, ideally with better communication skills than an actual knife.
Meet the brands
- Lean Six Search: Executive search across supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, and operations.
- Bottle Rocket Search: Recruitment for the businesses shaping coworking, flexible workspace, and the future of workplace.
- Argentum: Executive search in financial services.
Different markets. Plenty to learn. And a chance to help build the teams behind all three.
The role: roughly 50% building our business, 50% helping our clients build theirs.
Half your time will focus on our own brands: finding people to join us, supporting the employee experience, and helping us show up consistently with interesting content. The other half will support our consultants on client searches, from research and candidate outreach to keeping interviews and follow-ups moving. The balance will shift with priorities, but both sides are central to the job.
50%: Help us grow our own teams and tell our story
- Find and engage potential hires across our three brands.
- Coordinate internal interviews, keep candidates informed, and help turn a good first conversation into a great joining experience.
- Support onboarding, HR administration, and the practical details that help people get started properly.
- Write and coordinate LinkedIn posts, job adverts, team announcements, and other social content.
- Help Derek and the leadership team turn ideas into something people actually want to read.
- Keep hiring trackers, content calendars, and internal processes organised and useful.
50%: Help our team deliver great client searches
- Research companies, map markets, and uncover people worth speaking with.
- Support candidate sourcing, outreach, and initial screening.
- Arrange interviews, coordinate diaries, and keep candidates and consultants updated.
- Help prepare candidate profiles, search updates, and presentation materials.
- Keep our recruitment system accurate, current, and useful. “I think it’s somewhere in my inbox” is not a filing system.
- Spot missing information, chase loose ends, and help searches move forward.
You’ll probably enjoy this if…
You’re curious about people: what they do, what makes them good, and what might convince them to make a move. You can write a professional email without making it sound like it was approved by seven committees.
You like being organised, but you can cope when plans change. You’re comfortable picking up the phone, asking a sensible question, and following through without needing three reminders and a calendar invitation.
You notice details. You handle confidential information with care. And when something feels unnecessarily complicated, your instinct is to find a better way.
Experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, HR coordination, research, or a busy support role would be useful. Strong writing skills and an interest in social media matter too. You don’t need to arrive knowing every corner of the job; you do need curiosity, sound judgment, and the willingness to learn.
Why this could be a very good move
You’ll work directly with the founder and leadership team, see how three specialist recruitment businesses operate, and contribute to both our growth and our clients’ hiring.
You’ll build practical experience across sourcing, recruitment delivery, internal talent acquisition, content, and operations. Your work will have visible results: a great person hired, a search moving forward, a post worth reading, a process that finally makes sense.
And you’ll have room to suggest improvements and take ownership as you develop.
Interested?
Send us your CV and a short note explaining why this mix appeals to you. Tell us about something you organised, improved, wrote, or made happen.
We’d love to meet the person who reads this and thinks, “Finally. A job description for the way my brain works.”
