About The Position
As the Commercial Demand Planner in Lenovo North America Demand Management and Collaborative Planning Organization, this individual contributor role will be responsible for managing demand plan of assigned commercial PC products and interface with cross functional teams including Product Management, Business Management, WW Supply Planning, Global Supply Chain and Finance in order to achieve planning accuracy goals and quarterly targets.
This position is hybrid at our Markham, ON location and is onsite 3 days per week with once quarterly travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate monthly and quarterly demand plans for assigned PC products that meet Lenovo’s financial objectives.
- Lead SBB Attach Rate Planning for assigned PC products,
- Collaborate with Product and Business Management team on product mix assumptions and growth rates by segment.
- Drive seamless product transitions while minimizing product gaps outs and obsolete inventory.
- Consider distribution inventory and sell through projections in the forecast.
- Plan and implement contingency plans to mitigate supply challenges or unforcasted demand upside.
- Identify improvement opportunities in reducing and managing parts liability.
- Perform ad-hoc reporting and identify new ways of utilizing data and statistical methods to improve forecast accuracy.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain or relevant field
- 5+ years of professional experience in Supply Chain or Operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of Experience in supply planning, demand planning, forecasting, inventory management or manufacturing operations for commercial electronics. Global experience a plus.
- Experience creating Pivot Tables and Skilled in MS Excel, database and statistical tools.
- Experience utilizing BI tools: PowerBI or Tableau.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills and comfort presenting to a variety of audiences.
- Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively on cross functional teams.
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities with competing demands.
- Strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Master’s degree or advanced degree a plus.
