As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an Accountant to join our Montreal office and support our Finance team in maintaining accurate financial operations and providing high-quality accounting support across the organization.
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our Finance team in Montreal.
Reporting to the Finance leadership team, this role will support daily accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, month-end closing activities, and compliance requirements.
The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced professional services environment. This position will collaborate with internal teams across Canada and contribute to the continuous improvement of Leytonâs financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and financial transactions
- Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account analysis
- Prepare financial reports, accounting schedules, and supporting documentation
- Process vendor invoices, employee expenses, payments, and account coding
- Monitor accounts receivable balances and support collection activities
- Assist with payroll-related accounting activities and reconciliations
- Support GST/QST filings, tax compliance activities, and regulatory reporting requirements
- Maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with company policies and accounting standards
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting discrepancies and support business needs
- Assist with audit preparation and documentation requests
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelorâs degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2â5 years of accounting experience, preferably within a professional services, consulting, or corporate environment
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting processes
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Sage, or similar platforms is an asset)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• French and English bilingualism preferred
- CPA designation or progress toward CPA is an asset

À propos du poste
Nous sommes à la recherche d’un(e) Comptable rigoureux(se) et motivé(e) pour rejoindre notre équipe Finance à Montréal.
Relevant de lâĂ©quipe Finance, cette personne sera responsable de soutenir les opĂ©rations comptables quotidiennes, les rapports financiers, les rapprochements, les clĂŽtures mensuelles ainsi que les activitĂ©s de conformitĂ©.
Le candidat idĂ©al est organisĂ©, analytique, autonome et Ă lâaise dans un environnement professionnel dynamique.
Principales responsabilités
- Effectuer les opérations comptables quotidiennes : comptes fournisseurs, comptes clients, facturation et transactions financiÚres
- Préparer les rapprochements bancaires, cartes de crédit et comptes de bilan
- Participer aux clÎtures mensuelles et annuelles, incluant les écritures comptables et analyses de comptes
- Préparer les rapports financiers et documents de soutien
- Gérer les factures fournisseurs, dépenses employés, paiements et codification comptable
- Effectuer le suivi des comptes clients et soutenir les activités de recouvrement
- Participer aux activités comptables liées à la paie et aux rapprochements
- Soutenir les déclarations TPS/TVQ et les exigences de conformité fiscale
- Maintenir des dossiers comptables précis selon les normes et politiques internes
- Collaborer avec les équipes internes afin de résoudre les écarts comptables
Exigences
- DiplÎme en comptabilité, finance ou domaine connexe
- 2 Ă 5 ans dâexpĂ©rience en comptabilitĂ©, idĂ©alement dans un environnement professionnel ou corporatif
- Bonne connaissance des principes comptables et des rapports financiers
- Expérience avec des logiciels comptables ou systÚmes ERP
- MaĂźtrise de Microsoft Excel
- Excellent souci du dĂ©tail, organisation et capacitĂ© dâanalyse
- Capacité à gérer plusieurs priorités et respecter les échéanciers
- Excellentes compétences en communication
• Bilinguisme français et anglais privilégié
- Titre CPA ou cheminement CPA considéré comme un atout
