Senior RAMS Engineer (Toronto or Montréal)

To support our strong growth, we are looking for a Senior RAMS Engineer, autonomous and capable of leading the execution of complex RAMS study work packages on behalf of our clients.
Responsibilities:
RAMS Leadership & Governance
- Define the project RAMS strategy in line with contractual, regulatory, and operational requirements.
- Lead RAMS activities throughout the entire V-cycle (design, development, validation, commissioning, operations).
Engineering & Technical Analyses
- Define and manage RAMS requirements and their allocation to subsystems.
- Perform or supervise the following analyses:
- FHA / HAZID / HAZOP
- FMEA / FMECA
- Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)
- Reliability, availability, and maintainability analyses (RBD, LCC, MTBF, MTTR)
- Ensure consistency between RAMS, safety, maintenance, and operations.
- Contribute to the definition of maintenance concepts and operational performance objectives.
Compliance & Certification
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards
- Prepare and validate RAMS deliverables for project milestones and audits.
- Support certification and acceptance processes (ISA, authorities, client).
Interface & communication
- Actively participate in technical and design reviews.
- Produce clear, structured deliverables that can be used by non-specialist stakeholders.
- Provide decision-making support to project management (risks, technical trade-offs).
Profile:
Education & Experience
- Engineering degree or equivalent in systems, mechanical, electrical, electronics, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in aerospace or railway.
- Experience in a Lead / technical reference role on complex projects.
Technical Skills
- Excellent command of RAM and safety methodologies.
- Strong understanding of systems architecture (
- Mastery of railway RAMS standards.
- Experience with RAMS tools.
