Incentives Program Manager and Capital Expenditure Support (full time)

Reporting to the VP, Project Development & Commercial, this role has primary responsibilities to ensure Linde Canada is successful in its obtaining and realizing incentives available for new investments including Federal and Provincial with a focus on the fields of energy and carbon policy. Linde Canada has recently signed a large project for the supply of clean hydrogen for which various incentive programs are available including grants, tax credits, emissions credits, and related environmental attributes, etc. In addition to that, the business will continue to work on new investments where our success in obtaining potential incentives will play a key role in our project’s competitiveness and economic success. Given the inherent importance of incentives on realizing new capital growth investments and their complexities, this role will also be active in supporting the analysis and modeling of new capital investments.
What you will enjoy doing*
- In this role, you will lead and manage incentive program opportunities that support new capital investments across Canada, helping maximize available funding for both existing operations and future growth initiatives
- A key focus will be managing funding applications and incentive submissions, including clean hydrogen and other energy transition programs, while coordinating required information from engineering, project execution, finance, legal, and business development teams
- You will work closely with Government Affairs to engage with government agencies, support active applications, stay informed on evolving programs, and identify new funding opportunities as they emerge
- The role involves partnering with Finance to ensure approved incentives are properly tracked, reported, and realized in accordance with program requirements
- You will become a subject matter expert on Canadian incentive programs, as well as clean hydrogen and carbon policy, providing guidance and strategic direction to the business
- Developing a strong understanding of Linde's technologies and their alignment with available funding programs will be important in identifying and maximizing incentive opportunities
- You will support project evaluations by contributing to business cases, capital investment models, and financial analyses, including assessing the impact of incentives on project economics and risk
- The position includes presenting incentive opportunities and program requirements to a variety of stakeholders, helping teams understand funding considerations and their impact on project execution
- You will collaborate with sales, engineering, project execution, and leadership teams to ensure incentive strategies are incorporated into overall business and growth plans
- The role also involves working directly with key customers, including large multinational organizations, to align on strategies related to incentives, funding opportunities, and environmental credit programs

- You will bring strong influencing, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and build strategic networks without direct authority
- The position requires a solid understanding of capital investment business cases and financial evaluation principles, along with an interest in learning and expanding your commercial acumen
- A degree in Engineering or Business is preferred, supported by relevant commercial, operational, or project-based experience
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, managing competing priorities, and driving results in a fast-paced environment will help you succeed in this role
- Backgrounds in marketing, sales, business management, sales support, or related commercial functions are valuable, and the role requires flexibility to travel as needed to support customers, projects, and business objectives

This is a new position that offers an annual salary of $126,000+ based on experience.
