LMG Finance is growing, and we’re looking for a Finance Assistant to join our team in supporting the administration and coordination of our finance operations.
About the Role
As a Finance Assistant, you’ll be an important part of our finance operations team. You’ll help coordinate information between dealerships, customers, lenders and our Finance Managers, while providing the administrative support needed to keep transactions progressing.
This is a varied role where priorities can change throughout the day. You’ll need to be comfortable managing multiple requests, paying close attention to details and taking ownership of tasks from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Finance Application Coordination - Receive new finance applications and ensure they are routed to the appropriate Finance Manager for review and follow-up.
- Transaction Administration - Assist with the administrative steps involved in processing finance and lease transactions.
- File & Document Coordination - Organize, review and maintain electronic documentation to ensure files are complete, accurate and properly maintained.
- Information Management - Enter and update customer, dealership and transaction information in internal systems with a high degree of accuracy.
- Follow-Up & Outstanding Items - Monitor files for outstanding information and follow up with dealerships, customers, lenders or internal team members as required.
- Dealer & Customer Communication - Respond to routine inquiries by phone and email and provide professional assistance throughout the finance process.
- Finance Manager Support - Provide administrative and organizational support to Finance Managers, helping them stay focused on their customers and transactions.
- Issue Resolution - Identify missing information, inconsistencies or administrative issues and take the appropriate steps to get them resolved.
- Workflow Coordination - Help keep transactions moving by staying on top of deadlines, requests and outstanding tasks.
- General Office Support - Assist with a variety of administrative tasks and projects that support the broader finance team.
- Process Improvement - Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, organization and accuracy within our administrative processes.
What We’re Looking For
The right person for this role is dependable, organized and comfortable taking ownership of their work. You don't need to have a background in finance - we're more interested in your approach to work and your willingness to learn.
You’ll likely thrive in this position if you:
- Have strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Pay close attention to details and take pride in accurate work.
- Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
- Enjoy working with people and providing helpful, responsive service.
- Can manage competing priorities without losing track of important details.
- Are comfortable working independently while also knowing when to ask for help.
- Have a practical, solutions-oriented approach to problems.
- Are comfortable learning new software, systems and processes.
- Can handle confidential customer and business information appropriately.
- Enjoy working in a team environment where priorities can change throughout the day.
- Take initiative rather than waiting to be told what needs to be done.
Experience & Qualifications
Previous experience in an office, administrative, customer service or financial services environment would be an asset, but it is not required.
The following would also be considered assets:
- Experience in a dealership, lending, banking, insurance or other financial services environment.
- Familiarity with consumer credit or finance applications.
- Experience using CRM, document management or workflow software.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Post-secondary education in business administration, finance or a related field.
We’re willing to train the right person. You don't need to understand recreational financing or know our systems when you walk through the door. We’ll provide training on our processes, software and the industry. What’s most important is that you’re curious, dependable, organized and willing to learn.
