We're Hiring Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs)!
LHSC is looking for dedicated and qualified Registered Practical Nurses to join our team! Are you a new or experienced Registered Practical Nurse looking to join a multi-hospital teaching, research, and health-care facility? What we offer:
Regular Part-Time
- Rate of Pay: $37.10 - $37.77 per hour
Part-time employees receive a percentage in lieu of vacation and benefits, providing additional compensation on top of regular wages
- Hours of work: No guarantee of hours
Part-time employees will have the opportunity to pick up additional shifts based on unit operational needs and availability

What you will bring:
- Ability to practice to full competency required
- Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers course: BLS-HCP(C)
- Current Certificate of General Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Demonstrated knowledge of Cerner or an electronic health record preferred
- Well-developed patient assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation skills
- Demonstrated warmth, interest and empathy in interactions with patients and families
- Demonstrated effective communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to function productively in a very demanding environment with a high patient turnover
- Demonstrated ability to give and receive feedback in an open and constructive manner
- Demonstrated skills in patient teaching
- Evidence of commitment to self-directed learning as demonstrated by the courses taken pertaining to emergency nursing
- Ability to work independently and as a member of the team
- Demonstrated computer proficiency with Automated Clinical Systems
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC's Vision, Purpose, and Values
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
