Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Data Designer with a strong background in Business Systems Analysis (BSA), Databricks, and the finance domain. The ideal candidate should be capable of understanding business requirements, analyzing complex data flows, translating business needs into functional and data specifications, and collaborating with technical teams to deliver data solutions aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and data requirements.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications, data requirements, and design documentation.
- Analyze source systems, data structures, data flows, and data transformation requirements.
- Work with Databricks-based data platforms to understand data processing, datasets, and analytical requirements.
- Prepare source-to-target data mapping documents and data transformation specifications.
- Analyze financial data and business processes to identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with data engineers, architects, developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders.
- Define business rules, data definitions, field-level mappings, and data validation criteria.
- Support data reconciliation, functional testing, UAT, and issue resolution.
- Maintain clear documentation of requirements, assumptions, dependencies, and design decisions.
- Ensure delivered data solutions meet business, reporting, and financial data requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 5–7 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst (BSA), preferably in data-focused projects.
- Hands-on or working knowledge of Databricks.
- Strong finance domain experience is mandatory.
- Experience gathering requirements, conducting stakeholder discussions, and preparing functional documentation.
- Understanding of data mapping, data flows, data analysis, and data validation.
- Ability to translate business requirements into clear specifications for technical teams.
- Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional business and technology teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in banking, financial services, financial reporting, payments, accounting, or related finance projects.
- Exposure to data warehousing, data integration, and analytics platforms.
- Familiarity with SQL and data reconciliation.
- Experience supporting UAT and validating data-related business requirements.
