- Plan and organize operational logistics of the organization
- Track and complete work orders
- Co-ordinate, assign and review work
- Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders
- Keep track of shipments
- Knowledge of cross border dispatching regulations and practices
- Knowledge of highway trucking and associated rules and regulations
- Process and transmit information and instructions to co-ordinate the activities of vehicle operators and crews using dispatching equipment

Requirements
A college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a one- to two-year program is listed as the education requirement; experience is an asset. Knowledge of cross-border dispatching practices, highway trucking regulations, dispatch and tracking software, and Microsoft Office applications is relevant.
