Original job description

Description:

The client envisions a senior platform administrator, rooted in the IBM ecosystem (CP4D, OpenShift, DataStage), capable of operating independently on production clusters and supporting development teams with connectivity, TLS certificates, and infrastructure issues.
The recurring terms stability, performance, and monitoring point to a role focused on operations and keeping things running smoothly, rather than an initial implementation mandate. The dual expertise in OpenShift and DataStage suggests a hybrid profile between containerized platform administration and ETL support, rather than specialization in just one. Mentions of Ansible and Bash indicate an expectation for automating administrative tasks, beyond regular manual operations.
The 10-year experience threshold and Senior level confirm a role intended for an autonomous profile, without close technical supervision.

Requirements

Required:

CP4D / OpenShift cluster administration
Management and operation of applications deployed on OpenShift
Monitoring, troubleshooting, and issue resolution in containerized environments
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role
Significant experience in the administration of data platforms, integration platforms, and containerized infrastructures

Preferred:

Administration of IBM InfoSphere DataStage and WebSphere platforms
Bash scripting and Ansible automation (Ansible Automation Platform/Tower)
DataStage ETL development and support
Knowledge of ETL tools and data governance principles
Knowledge of the CP4D ecosystem, including IBM Knowledge Catalog (IKC)

Asset/Advantageous:

Use of Artifactory and GitHub for code and deliverable management
Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO)
