Enterprise Architect – SAP
Contract Position | Senior Level
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect – SAP to support a large-scale enterprise environment with the assessment, design, and development of technical architecture solutions related to SAP S/4HANA and SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM).
The successful candidate will work closely with business, technical, and solution architecture stakeholders to assess current-state SAP capabilities, define integration approaches, evaluate solution options, and develop high-level architecture and implementation recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess existing SAP S/4HANA and SAP EAM environments, including interfaces, integration mechanisms, data structures, security considerations, dependencies, and technical constraints.
- Work with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements, current-state capabilities, constraints, and proposed changes.
- Define and document reusable SAP integration patterns and architectural principles for connecting SAP with enterprise applications, mobile solutions, third-party products, and other systems.
- Conduct current-state, gap, and solution-options analyses for SAP-related initiatives.
- Develop high-level solution architectures and target-state architectures, including integration flows, system responsibilities, data exchanges, interface requirements, and non-functional requirements.
- Assess SAP EAM solutions involving field asset management, mobile/offline capabilities, synchronization, data management, and asset identification/barcoding.
- Evaluate third-party technologies and integration approaches for technical feasibility, compatibility, security, scalability, operational impacts, risks, benefits, and costs.
- Develop technical architecture specifications, architecture decisions, recommendations, and high-level implementation roadmaps.
- Identify technical dependencies, assumptions, constraints, risks, and implementation considerations.
- Present architecture options and technical recommendations to technical teams, stakeholders, and governance groups.
- Provide knowledge transfer through technical documentation, architecture walkthroughs, and working sessions.
Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- Senior-level experience in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, or SAP Technical Architecture.
- Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM).
- Demonstrated experience designing or assessing SAP integrations and enterprise integration architectures.
- Experience developing current-state and target-state architectures, integration patterns, technical architecture documentation, and implementation roadmaps.
- Strong understanding of enterprise integrations, interfaces, data exchanges, security, dependencies, and non-functional requirements.
- Experience conducting technical gap analyses and solution-options assessments.
- Experience evaluating third-party products and their integration with SAP environments.
- Experience with mobile/offline enterprise solutions, data synchronization, or field asset-management technologies is highly desirable.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to translate complex business and technical requirements into practical architectural recommendations.
