About the Role
We are seeking an experienced SAP BASIS Lead to oversee and support a complex SAP environment consisting of both SAP RISE and on-premises landscapes. This role is responsible for ensuring the stability, availability, performance, and security of critical SAP systems while providing technical leadership across infrastructure, cloud services, and integration platforms.
The successful candidate will play a key role in leading BASIS operations, driving continuous improvements, managing upgrades and migrations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and efficient SAP services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage SAP BASIS operations across hybrid SAP RISE and on-premises environments.
- Ensure high availability, performance, reliability, and governance of SAP systems.
- Oversee incident, problem, change, and release management processes.
- Plan and execute SAP upgrades, migrations, system refreshes, and maintenance activities.
- Coordinate disaster recovery planning, testing, and business continuity initiatives.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams, managed service providers, vendors, and business stakeholders.
- Provide technical leadership for SAP integrations, cloud technologies, and architecture reviews.
- Support security, compliance, and audit requirements across the SAP landscape.
- Lead and mentor offshore and distributed support teams.
- Drive operational excellence through process improvements, automation, and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience in SAP BASIS administration and leadership roles.
- Proven experience managing hybrid SAP RISE and on-premises SAP environments.
- Strong expertise in:
- SAP NetWeaver
- SAP HANA
- SAP S/4HANA lifecycle management
- SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
- SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI)
- SAP Cloud Connector
- SAP Identity Authentication Service (IAS)
- SAP Identity Provisioning Service (IPS)
- Strong understanding of high-availability architectures and disaster recovery strategies.
- Experience leading production support, upgrades, migrations, and major SAP projects.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and coordinate cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise SAP environments.
- Familiarity with cloud transformation initiatives and SAP modernization programs.
- Experience leading offshore or globally distributed support teams.
