Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in:
- Finance and Computer Science (Double degree or combined program preferred)
- Financial Engineering
- Mathematical Finance
- Risk Management
- Quantitative Finance
- Computer Science with a strong interest in financial markets - - Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related disciplines - Demonstrated interest in both financial markets and technology.
- Basic understanding of financial concepts such as:
- Fixed income securities
- Interest rates and yield curves
- Investment management
- Financial markets and products
- Risk management concepts - Basic programming skills, preferably in Python.
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large and complex datasets.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Academic coursework or project experience in both finance and technology disciplines.
- Familiarity with one or more of the following:
- Asset Liability Management (ALM)
- Market risk management
- Fixed income analytics
- Financial modeling
- Quantitative analysis - Experience using Python libraries for data analysis (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
- Experience with databases, data engineering, or data visualization tools.
- Exposure to Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Large Language Models (LLMs), or Generative AI technologies.
- Familiarity with software development practices such as Git, testing, and version control.
- Experience developing analytical, automation, or data-driven solutions through academic or personal projects.

We are particularly interested in students who can combine strong quantitative and technical capabilities with an understanding of financial markets. Candidates from Finance & Computer Science double-degree programs, Financial Engineering, Quantitative Finance, or Risk Management programs with strong programming skills are especially encouraged to apply.

Salary range is expected to be between:
$40,950.00 CAD - $62,450 CAD
The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. The annual salary will be pro-rated based on the length of the work-term.
