Original job description
Mapleview Energy is a Canadian energy technology company focused on repurposing electric vehicle batteries into intelligent battery energy storage systems for commercial and industrial customers. Our systems help businesses lower energy costs, improve resiliency, and extend the life of batteries that would otherwise be recycled.
We are a funded early stage company with active development underway, a first customer secured, and real projects moving forward. We are now looking for the right technical leader to join the team and help drive the engineering and product development side of the company.
The ideal person is a startup minded hardware engineer who enjoys building systems from the ground up. This could be someone with a background in mechatronics, systems engineering, or electrical engineering, particularly with experience in battery systems, microgrids, or renewable energy infrastructure. Experience integrating hardware, power electronics, controls, and software in real world environments would be a strong asset.
This is an opportunity to help shape the technical foundation of a company working at the intersection of electrification, energy storage, and the circular battery economy.
