ABOUT MARPOLE PHYSIOTHERAPY CLINIC
Marpole Physiotherapy Clinic is a well-established, multidisciplinary physiotherapy and wellness practice in Vancouver, BC, in operation since 2005. Our clinical team includes physiotherapists, kinesiologists, registered massage therapists, and acupuncture/TCM providers, working together to deliver patient-centred, evidence-based care. We're looking for a motivated physiotherapist to join our team and help our patients move and feel better.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Physiotherapist will assess and treat a general community patient population, including orthopaedic, post-surgical, occupational, and injury-recovery caseloads, working alongside our kinesiology and multidisciplinary team. This role is available on a full-time or part-time basis, with a schedule arranged around the successful candidate's availability and clinic needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct physiotherapy assessments and diagnose functional impairments for patients referred by physicians or self-referred.
- Design, implement, and progress individualized treatment plans based on patient goals and clinical findings.
- Support ICBC, WorkSafeBC, and disability (e.g. Canada Life) caseloads as needed.
- Collaborate closely with kinesiologists, massage therapists, and other clinic staff on integrated patient care plans.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment to ensure safe and effective outcomes.
- Educate patients on injury prevention, movement mechanics, and self-management strategies.
- Maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with clinic policies and CPTBC standards.
- Contribute to a positive, professional, and patient-focused clinic environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in Physiotherapy (or equivalent).
- Current registration (or eligibility for registration) with the College of Physical Therapists of BC (CPTBC).
- Current CPR/First Aid certification.
- Experience working with musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, or post-injury populations is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and educate patients.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
- Comfortable with clinic scheduling and documentation systems (training provided).
