We are seeking a talented individual to join our Growth team, part of our Risk business at Marsh. This role will be based in Toronto. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
As
Chief Growth Officer & Head of Industries you will drive market share expansion across Canada. This executive role is accountable for leading national new business growth, strengthening our presence in key markets, and elevating how we engage with the business community.
As a member of the Executive Committee, you will help shape national strategy, contribute to broader business priorities, and ensure growth remains embedded across the organization. You will lead a team of Producers and Industry Leaders while also maintaining a strong personal presence in the market.
A significant portion of growth will come from close partnership with Segment Leaders - shaping client strategies, identifying opportunities, and bringing a more proactive, growth-oriented lens to existing relationships. You will also be accountable for advancing our industry strategy, deepening intellectual capital, strengthening industry-led sales support, and enhancing our external market presence.
Our approach to growth is grounded in a simple belief:
when we solve the right problems for clients, growth follows. This role requires a shift from a traditional insurance-led approach to an enterprise-focused one - bringing the full breadth of our capabilities across risk and insurance, people, strategy, and capital to help clients address their most important business challenges.
We will count on you to:

Activate the Client Team to Unlock Growth
- Partner closely with Segment Leaders to shape client strategies and identify growth opportunities.
- Bring a proactive, enterprise-wide lens to client relationships, expanding beyond traditional insurance discussions.
- Align teams around priority pursuits and ensure a coordinated, client-centric approach to winning.
Expand to Full Firm Capability
- Bring the full breadth of the firm’s capabilities to clients across risk and insurance, people, strategy, and capital.
- Foster a culture of curiosity about clients’ broader enterprise challenges.
- Identify opportunities beyond traditional insurance placements and connect clients to the right expertise.
- Position the firm as a partner solving business problems, not just placing coverage.
Build a Strong External Presence
- Act as a visible and credible leader across Canada.
- Develop and maintain relationships with senior business leaders, centers of influence, and key stakeholders.
- Lead by example in building trust, creating access, and converting relationships into growth opportunities.
- Coach and enable Producers and Industry Leaders to strengthen their external presence and effectiveness.
Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Producers and Industry Leaders focused on new client acquisition.
- Set clear expectations for market activity, relationship building, and performance outcomes.
- Build capability in consultative selling, executive engagement, and translating client needs into meaningful solutions.
- Foster a culture of accountability, momentum, and continuous improvement.
Lead Strategic Pursuits and RFPs
- Provide leadership on major pursuits and RFPs across the country.
- Shape win strategies, value propositions, and executive-level messaging.
- Ensure disciplined execution, clear accountability, and differentiation in competitive processes.
Contribute to Executive Committee Leadership
- Serve as a key member of the Executive Committee, contributing to national strategy and business priorities.
- Ensure growth considerations are embedded in broader decision-making across the country.
- Partner with Segment Leaders to align priorities, remove barriers, and accelerate growth.
Drive Execution, Metrics, and Accountability
- Establish and track clear growth metrics, including pipeline strength, win rates, and market share.
