Role Description The Senior High Net Worth Advisor role is a full-time position based in Toronto, ON, with a hybrid work arrangement that combines in-office collaboration and some work-from-home flexibility. In this role, the advisor provides tailored insurance and risk management solutions to high net worth clients, including comprehensive reviews of personal risk profiles and coverage needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing a portfolio of affluent clients, preparing proposals, advising on complex coverage structures, and coordinating policy placement and renewals. The advisor collaborates closely with underwriters and internal specialists, responds to client inquiries, and proactively identifies opportunities to enhance protection and service. The role also involves maintaining up-to-date knowledge of market trends, products, and regulatory requirements, contributing to business development activities, and mentoring less experienced team members as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience advising high net worth or private client segments on insurance and risk management solutions, ideally within a brokerage or financial services environment.
- Strong relationship management and client service skills, with the ability to build trust, communicate complex concepts clearly, and handle confidential information with discretion.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including experience reviewing coverage, comparing market options, and structuring solutions for complex risk profiles.
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple client priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Knowledge of personal lines products relevant to high net worth clients (e.g., property, liability, specialty coverages) and awareness of current market and regulatory developments.
- Comfort working in a hybrid environment, collaborating effectively with colleagues in-office and virtually, and using digital tools and CRM systems to manage client interactions.
- Relevant professional designations or progress toward them (e.g., CIP, CRM, or equivalent) and a strong commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Post-secondary education in business, finance, risk management, or a related field is preferred.
