Role Description The Revit Modeler and Drafter is a full-time, on-site role based in Mississauga, ON. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining accurate Revit models and detailed drawings for industrial, commercial, and institutional construction projects. Day-to-day tasks include creating architectural and structural models, updating plans and sections, coordinating with project managers and design professionals, and ensuring drawings comply with building codes and project standards. The role involves preparing construction documents, revising drawings based on review comments, and supporting design-build workflows with precise documentation. The Revit Modeler and Drafter collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams to help deliver constructible, coordinated, and timely project documentation.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency with Revit for modeling and drafting, including creating views, sheets, and families.
- Experience producing detailed architectural and structural drawings for industrial, commercial, or institutional projects.
- Knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and standards relevant to Canadian ICI projects.
- Ability to interpret and coordinate drawings and specifications from architects, engineers, and consultants.
- Relevant technical diploma or degree in architecture, engineering technology, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate on-site with project and field teams.
- Experience with additional design and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Navisworks, BIM tools) is an asset.
- Prior experience in pharmaceutical, industrial, or institutional construction environments is considered an advantage.
