The Digital Project Manager oversees the scoping, planning, and execution of digital marketing, CRM, website, and customer experience projects. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will act as the central point of coordination between clients, account teams, strategists, analysts, creatives, developers, CRM specialists, and other project stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and successfully.
This role is responsible for translating project requirements into actionable plans, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing risks and dependencies, and ensuring work is delivered on time, on budget, and in alignment with client expectations.
The ideal candidate combines strong project management fundamentals with exceptional organizational skills, business acumen, and the ability to navigate complex digital projects within a fast-paced agency environment.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Project Scoping & Planning
- Gather business requirements, project objectives, and stakeholder needs to define project scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Partner with internal teams to estimate effort, identify dependencies, and develop project approaches and delivery plans.
- Facilitate project kickoffs, discovery sessions, requirements discussions, and project planning activities.
- Translate project requirements into detailed work plans, task assignments, timelines, and project documentation.
Project Execution
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of CRM, website, digital experience, email, and marketing technology projects.
- Create and maintain project schedules, workback plans, status reports, risk logs, and project documentation.
- Coordinate activities across strategy, UX, creative, analytics, CRM, development, QA, and account teams.
- Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks, roadblocks, scope changes, and resource constraints.
- Facilitate issue resolution and support teams in overcoming project challenges and competing priorities.
- Manage multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced agency environment.
Budget & Resource Management
- Track project budgets, resource allocations, estimates, and actuals to ensure projects remain financially viable and within scope.
- Monitor project burn rates and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and resource utilization.
- Partner with team leads and resource managers to coordinate project staffing and delivery priorities.
- Support scope management, change requests, and project re-estimation activities when requirements evolve.
Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as the primary day-to-day project contact for internal teams and stakeholders.
- Provide transparent communication regarding project status, timelines, risks, dependencies, decisions, and next steps.
- Lead status meetings, project reviews, and stakeholder alignment sessions.
- Escalate issues appropriately and facilitate timely decision-making.
Delivery Excellence
- Ensure project governance processes, documentation, and approvals are completed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support quality assurance and user acceptance testing activities by coordinating reviews, approvals, and defect resolution.
- Identify opportunities to improve project delivery processes, team collaboration, and operational efficiency.
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of project management best practices within the agency.
WHO YOU ARE
- 3 - 5 years of experience managing digital projects, preferably within an agency, consulting, or digital services environment.
- Proven experience delivering website, CRM, digital experience, email marketing, marketing technology, or related digital projects.
- Strong understanding of digital ecosystems and how strategy, content, UX, analytics, CRM, creative, and technology teams work together.
- Experience developing project plans, schedules, budgets, resource forecasts, and delivery roadmaps.
- Skilled at gathering requirements, defining scope, managing dependencies, and coordinating cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Experience managing project budgets, timelines, scope changes, risks, and stakeholder expectations.
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project delivery methodologies.
- Proficiency with project management platforms such as Jira, Asana, Monday.com, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, Trello, or similar tools.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Comfortable working with both technical and non-technical teams and translating complex concepts into actionable plans.
- Highly collaborative, proactive, adaptable, and solutions oriented.
The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 per year. Compensation will be determined based on qualifications, relevant experience, and internal equity.
