Driven by integrity, curiosity, and collaboration, we empower our people to take ownership, accelerate their growth, and make a meaningful impact from day one.

Note: We operate in a hybrid model, with two to three in-office days per week at our North York office. Tuesdays serve as the Anchor Day for the Business Advisory Group (BAG), creating dedicated time to collaborate, connect, and learn together.

Your Key Responsibilities

Reporting to a Senior Manager, you’ll lead compilation, review, and tax compliance engagements from start to finish, and deliver practical insights that drive meaningful client impact. You will:

  • Lead and execute high-quality, timely review, compilation, and tax compliance engagements, ensuring deliverables meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Act as the in-charge on engagements, delivering financial statement disclosures, corporate tax returns, HST returns, payroll memos, tax slips, and other client deliverables.
  • Manage multiple engagements and priorities, tracking progress, identifying issues and improvements, and keeping Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners informed.
  • Collaborate with Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners to plan and execute engagements, proactively escalating significant accounting and tax matters.
  • Oversee Associates by monitoring productivity, work plans, budgets, and deliverable quality, providing timely feedback and identifying opportunities for development.
  • Identify industry-specific and significant accounting and tax issues, including taxable benefits, tax-saving opportunities, and insightful feedback on financial statements.

What You Bring

  • 3 to 5 years of progressive public accounting experience, with hands-on experience delivering compilation and review engagements, tax filings, and client advisory services.
  • CPA designation or successful CFE completion, with a desire to continue growing your career in public accounting and business advisory.
  • Proven experience independently performing CSRE 2400 Review Engagements from planning through to completion, serving as a trusted advisor to clients.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprise (ASPE), income tax legislation, and general accounting principles.
  • Technical proficiency in Taxprep, CaseWare, and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and systems.
  • Effective organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple engagements, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-driven professional with a passion for continuous learning, a strong sense of ownership, and the confidence to embrace new challenges.
