About MDChat
MDChat is a new telehealth company making it easier for people to get real care from real clinicians, online. We're an early-stage startup building our brand from the ground up, and our voice is warm, premium and care-led. We're looking for a creative, AI-savvy social media intern to help us build our presence on Meta (Instagram and Facebook), TikTok and Pinterest from day one.
About the Role
As our Social Media Manager - Internship, you'll own the day-to-day of our social channels: coming up with ideas, creating content with AI tools, publishing it, and talking with our community. You'll work directly with our founding team, so your work will be seen, used and measured from your first week.
What You'll Do
- Concept content ideas, series and trends for Meta (Instagram and Facebook), TikTok and Pinterest
- Create posts, Reels, short-form videos, carousels and Pins using AI content tools (such as Higgsfield) alongside traditional design and editing tools
- Schedule and post content on a consistent calendar across all channels
- Review content before it goes live for brand voice, quality and accuracy, following our health-content guidelines
- Engage with our community by replying to comments and DMs warmly and promptly, and flagging anything that needs a clinician or support team response
- Report weekly on performance (reach, engagement, saves, shares, follower growth) and share what's working and what to try next
- Track trends, competitors and new AI tools, and bring fresh ideas to the team
- Support paid social and creator/UGC campaigns as needed
What We're Looking For
Required
- Hands-on experience creating and managing social content on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and/or Pinterest (personal brand, freelance, school, club or business accounts all count)
- Experience using AI tools to generate content, such as AI image, video, voice or copy tools (Higgsfield, Midjourney, Runway, CapCut AI, ChatGPT, Claude or similar)
- A portfolio or examples of previous work that shows content you created and the results it got
- Strong writing skills and an eye for visual storytelling
- Comfort with short-form video trends, formats and editing
- Organized and reliable, with the ability to manage a content calendar and meet deadlines
- A self-starter who takes initiative in a fast-moving startup environment
Nice to have
- Currently studying or recently graduated in marketing, communications, design, media or a related field
- Experience with scheduling tools (Meta Business Suite, Later, Buffer, Hootsuite or similar)
- Familiarity with platform analytics and simple reporting
- Interest in health, wellness or telehealth
- Experience working with creators or UGC content
What You'll Get
- Competitive pay: $20–$25 per hour, depending on experience
- Flexible part-time schedule: 20 hours per week to start
- Room to grow: potential to move into a full-time role, with performance-based bonuses
- AI tool credits: access to token credits for leading AI content tools, including Higgsfield, so you can experiment and build your skills
- Real learning: hands-on experience building a brand's social presence from launch, with mentorship from an experienced digital marketing and product team
- Real impact: your ideas will shape how MDChat shows up in the world, and you'll have strong portfolio pieces to show for it
How To Apply
Please submit:
- Your resume
- A link to your portfolio or examples of previous social content (required). Include links to accounts you've managed or posts you've created, and tell us which ones used AI tools and which tools you used.
- A short note (3–5 sentences) on why you're interested in MDChat and one content idea you'd pitch for us on TikTok, Instagram or Pinterest
Applications without a portfolio or work examples will not be considered.
