The clinic employs experienced Chiropodists who assess, manage, and prevent a wide range of foot disorders, including diabetic foot complications, sports injuries, and common conditions such as corns, calluses, and heel pain. MediFeet provides custom-made orthotics and advanced treatment options using cutting-edge equipment and evidence-based techniques within podiatric medicine. The clinic serves multiple communities across Mississauga and Oakville, offering care in a warm, friendly environment designed to make patients feel comfortable and relaxed.
Role Description The Chiropodist will provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of foot and lower limb conditions in an outpatient clinical setting. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting thorough patient consultations, performing routine and advanced foot care procedures, prescribing and assessing custom-made orthotics, and managing conditions such as diabetic foot complications, ingrown toenails, sports-related injuries, and skin and nail disorders. The role also involves maintaining accurate clinical documentation, collaborating with other healthcare professionals as needed, educating patients on prevention and self-care, and adhering to regulatory and clinical best practices. This is a full-time, on-site position based at MediFeet Clinic & Orthotics Centre in Mississauga, ON.
Qualifications
- Licensed Chiropodist or Podiatrist in good standing with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario, or eligibility for registration.
- Clinical expertise in assessment, diagnosis, and management of foot and lower limb conditions, including diabetic foot care, sports injuries, and routine foot care.
- Experience with prescription, fitting, and follow-up of custom-made orthotics and other podiatric devices.
- Strong patient communication and education skills, with the ability to provide clear explanations and empathetic, patient-centered care.
- Proficiency in using clinical equipment and electronic medical records, with attention to detail in documentation and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Ability to work independently in a busy clinic environment while collaborating effectively with administrative staff and other healthcare providers.
- Commitment to continuing education, staying current with best practices in podiatric medicine, and adopting new techniques and technologies.
- Previous experience in a community or private clinic setting and familiarity with the Mississauga and Oakville communities is an asset.
