Nurse Practitioner, Private Concierge Medicine
Downtown Toronto | Full-time | $75 - $95 per hour
Recruitment partner: MediFlex Talent Solutions
The opportunity
A growing private concierge medical clinic in downtown Toronto is looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join its clinical team. This is an opportunity to work in a very different environment from traditional primary care. The clinic is designed around longer appointments, highly personalized care, strong patient relationships, and a proactive approach to health and wellness. Rather than managing a high-volume roster, you will have the time to understand each patient, investigate concerns thoroughly, coordinate appropriate testing and referrals, and develop individualized care plans.
The practice
This is private, relationship-based medicine.
Patients choose the clinic because they want greater access to their healthcare provider, more time during appointments, and a more comprehensive approach to their health.
Depending on your experience, your practice may include:
- Comprehensive health assessments
- Preventative and proactive healthcare
- Acute and episodic concerns
- Chronic disease management
- Health screening and risk assessment
- Women's and men's health
- Lifestyle and metabolic health
- Medication management
- Diagnostic testing and interpretation
- Specialist referrals and care coordination
- Ongoing health optimization and follow-up
The emphasis is on delivering thoughtful, evidence-based care while creating an experience that feels personal rather than transactional.
What you will do
- Conduct comprehensive patient consultations and assessments
- Diagnose and manage common acute and chronic conditions within NP scope
- Develop individualized treatment and preventative health plans
- Order and interpret laboratory work and diagnostic investigations
- Prescribe and manage medications as appropriate
- Coordinate specialist referrals, imaging, and additional testing
- Provide ongoing follow-up and continuity of care
- Educate patients and help them make informed decisions about their health
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, administrative staff, and external specialists
- Contribute to a high-touch, responsive patient experience
- Help shape clinical processes as the practice continues to grow
The environment
The right person will enjoy working somewhere that prioritizes quality of care over patient volume. Appointments are designed to allow more meaningful conversations and a more comprehensive approach than is typically possible in a high-volume family practice or walk-in environment. You should be comfortable working with patients who are engaged in their health, ask detailed questions, and expect a high standard of communication and follow-through.
Clinical credibility is important, but so is personality. The strongest fit will be someone who is warm, polished, confident, curious, and genuinely enjoys building relationships with patients.
Compensation
- $75 to $95 per hour
- Compensation will depend on clinical experience and directly relevant private-care experience
- Full-time opportunity
- Stable daytime schedule
- Downtown Toronto location
Additional details regarding the compensation structure and employment arrangement will be discussed during the interview process.
What we are looking for
Required
- Nurse Practitioner registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario and in good standing
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Experience independently managing patients within NP scope
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong attention to detail and clinical documentation
- Comfortable working with an engaged and discerning patient population
- Professional, warm, and confident approach to patient care
- Interest in providing highly personalized, relationship-based medicine
Preferred
- Primary care, family health, internal medicine, or comprehensive health assessment experience
- Experience in a private medical, executive health, concierge, preventative health, or wellness environment
- Experience with preventative medicine and health optimization
- Experience interpreting comprehensive laboratory and diagnostic investigations
- Experience coordinating care across multiple specialists
- Exposure to women's health, men's health, metabolic health, or hormone-related care
Private clinic experience is an asset, but it is not essential. Strong Nurse Practitioners coming from primary care or another relevant clinical environment will be considered.
