The Role
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and proactive
Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.
In this role, you will play a key part in our tech-heavy operations - handling technical checks (including PACMED), prescription processing, billing, charging, dispensing, inventory management, and delivering high-touch customer service across digital and traditional channels.
What You'll Do
- Technical Checks & Dispensing: Perform final technical checks within the technician scope of practice, including inspecting, checking, and verifying PACMED compliance packaging.
- Prescription Processing: Accurately fill, bill, charge, and dispense prescriptions following Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) standards and Mednow workflows.
- Technology & Digital Communication: Leverage Mednow's digital pharmacy platforms to manage workflows, communicate with patients via chat and phone, and navigate tech-heavy pharmacy systems efficiently.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent, empathetic patient support over the phone, live chat, and email to resolve inquiries, assist with orders, and coordinate delivery details.
- Inventory & Ordering: Manage medication inventory, place supplier orders, receive stock, and ensure appropriate storage and maintenance.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless workflow, accuracy, and patient safety.
What We're Looking For
- Education & Licensing: Registerd Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
- Technical Experience: Hands-on experience with prescription filling, billing, charging, dispensing, and PACMED automation/checking (PREFFERED).
- Tech-Savvy Mindset: High comfort level with technology, digital platforms, live chat tools, and electronic workflow management systems.
- Pharmacy Software: Strong working knowledge of Kroll Pharmacy Management System is strongly preferred.
- Communication & Service: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for patient interactions via phone and chat.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and commitment to patient safety and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced environment.
- Schedule: Ability to work Monday-Friday 9am - 5 pm shift daily.
