Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
As our Inside Sales Engineer, you will work closely with field Sales Representatives to support technical quotes, product specifications, order management, change orders, upgrades, and point-of-sale service inquiries. You will help educate established accounts on new products and developments while coordinating with production teams to understand customer needs. You will also prepare quotations, terms of sale, delivery dates, and service obligations to support the sales process. Additional responsibilities:
- Provide quotes, change order, and upgrade support, and answer inquiries on metal detection, X-ray,Check weighing, and Vision equipment.
- Work with Technical Applications and Engineering teams on equipment specifications.
- Identify price discrepancies.
- Manage incoming demands such as phone calls, emails, service, or mt.com requests with quality, urgency, and appropriate follow-up.
- Work in coordination with Field Sales Representatives, Customer Service, Tech Support, and Contract departments
- Provide the appropriate level of support for product and/or service inquiries, order review, order status,
- Conduct Preinstall calls with Field Sales Technician and Customers
- Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities
- Actively support sales growth initiatives through outbound customer outreach, campaign follow-up, installed base reviews, and lead generation activities.
What You Need to Succeed
- College diploma or university degree in Engineering, Technical Studies, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in inside sales, sales support, customer service, application support, or technical sales.
- Experience preparing commercial quotations, proposals, and managing customer opportunities.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand industrial equipment, applications, and customer processes.
- Experience supporting capital equipment sales is considered an asset.
- Bilingual (English/French) may be required.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
