Role Description The Front of House Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based at the Milestones Grill + Bar location in London, ON. This role oversees daily front-of-house operations, including greeting and seating guests, managing reservations and waitlists, and ensuring smooth coordination between the host, serving, and bar teams. The supervisor monitors service standards, addresses guest inquiries or concerns, and supports team members in delivering consistent, high-quality hospitality. Responsibilities include training and coaching staff, assisting with shift planning and floor management, and promoting a safe, clean, and organized dining environment. The Front of House Supervisor also helps implement company initiatives, upholds brand standards, and contributes to a positive, inclusive, and engaging workplace culture.
Qualifications
- Experience in front-of-house restaurant operations, including supervising shifts, supporting serving staff, and managing guest flow.
- Strong customer service and hospitality skills, with the ability to create a welcoming environment and resolve guest issues calmly and professionally.
- Leadership and team-building abilities, including coaching, mentoring, and giving clear direction in a fast-paced setting.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working collaboratively with team members, kitchen staff, and management.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities during peak service periods.
- Knowledge of basic health, safety, and food-handling practices in a restaurant environment.
- Previous experience in a casual or upscale dining restaurant is an asset; supervisory experience is preferred.
- Availability to work a range of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by restaurant operations.
