We are recruiting for an energetic, team-oriented, and entrepreneurial Social Impact Associate to join our team in Vancouver.
Our Charities and Not-for-Profit Group operates one of the most sophisticated practices of its kind in Canada, providing voluntary sector organizations with creative and practical advice tailored to their unique needs. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to make a meaningful impact as part of a busy and collaborative team. Our clients are a diverse group of charities, not-for-profits, associations, clubs, and religious organizations (among others). We take the same value-added approach to each one, catering to each organization’s individual needs.
The members of our team are recognized leaders in the sector, having written and published extensively on charity and non-profit law, including tax, trust, governance and related issues. We speak regularly at all major Canadian legal and sector conferences pertaining to charities and not-for-profits. Our lawyers are active in policy work and government relations on behalf of the non-profit sector.
The successful candidate will have:
- 2+ years of charity/non-profit or tax experience.
- A license to practice in BC.
- Proven client and file management skills.
- Strong analytical, communication and drafting skills.
- An entrepreneurial attitude.
