- Travel is required within the metro area and/or state to attend agency events and special activities at various on-site and off-site locations to provide photography and videography services. This may include the occasional evening or weekend request.
As Multimedia Producer, you will develop, coordinate, and oversee strategies and systems (including technology and processes) that produce and distribute multimedia content with a focus on video and audio messages. You will also contribute to agencywide proactive communications in collaboration with the entire DCYF communications department. This includes co-creating models of effective agencywide content governance, developing and updating content, and researching and updating best practices and standards. The Multimedia Producer also works to ensure that multimedia content accurately conveys agency policies and operational information. The position develops, edits and makes content accessible based on industry best practices and DCYF standards.
Responsibilities Include
- Manage and oversee DCYF’s multimedia production technologies, capacity and policies to assist in operating and enhancing an effective production system to carry out the mission, vision and goals of the agency.
- Assess, design, develop and produce multimedia projects to be used internally and externally for learning, communication and marketing programs, training, events, etc. for DCYF.
- Regulate, manage and oversee the agency’s multimedia production equipment and technologies.
- Review and offer guidance for proposed internal and external multimedia productions to ensure compliance with legal requirements, meeting agency standards and industry best practices in production and adult learning theories.
Minimum Qualifications

Two (2) years* of experience working on multimedia and video projects within a large organization (500+ employees).
Experience Must Demonstrate The Following
- Experience with design, development, management, creation, production and direction for multimedia strategies
- Knowledge and experience in video planning, filming, production, animation, motion graphics, and editing
- Knowledge and experience in photography, photographic equipment, lighting, photo editing, and asset management.
- Bachelor's degree in Video Production, Interactive Media, Communications or closely related field may substitute for one (1) year of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three (3) years of experience in providing direction for multimedia strategies
- Experience working in consultation with executives and leaders
- Experience creating multimedia strategic plans
- Knowledge of Adobe multimedia tools and DSLR cameras
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Familiarity with plain language, digital accessibility, and inclusive design
- Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures
