Automobile Tech/Mechanic
Ngaruawahia
Closing by 21 Oct 2026
Sick of being just another number? Come and join the team at The V Dub Shoppe. We're a family-owned workshop in Ngaruawahia, just minutes off the expressway, and we've been keeping local families, businesses, classics, daily drivers, and the occasional "it was making a funny noise yesterday" vehicle on the road for over 25 years. Despite the name, we're not just VWs anymore. One day you could be working on a classic restoration, the next chasing an electrical gremlin, and then servicing a family SUV before lunch. Life's too short to spend every day doing oil changes. We're looking for a mechanic who knows their stuff, takes pride in their work, and enjoys working with a team that believes good workmanship and good banter can coexist. You’ll ideally have a WoF Certification (or the ability to get one), a preferred trade qualification, and the legal right to work in New Zealand. We're looking for someone equipped with solid diagnostic and repair skills, a professional attitude, and a good grip on communication and time management. In return, the right person will score a great benefits package, a highly supportive team environment, and a diverse range of work across all makes and models. Best of all, you’ll be completely safe from corporate dramas, pointless meetings, and hollow buzzwords like "synergy." If you’re looking for a workshop where people actually know your name, appreciate your skills, and genuinely enjoy coming to work, we’d love to hear from you. If you think you're the superstar we’re looking for, send your CV in confidence. A full job description is also available upon request.
