Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mover role based in Victoria, BC. The Mover will safely load, transport, and unload residential and commercial goods, including furniture, equipment, and materials, while protecting property and items from damage. Day-to-day responsibilities include following move plans and routes, operating dollies and other moving equipment, assisting with junk and debris removal, and supporting construction and site preparation tasks as needed. The role involves working closely with team members to complete moves and hauling projects on schedule, communicating clearly with customers, and maintaining a professional, respectful presence on every job site. The Mover will also help with basic vehicle and equipment checks, adherence to safety protocols, and accurate documentation of work performed.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, and maneuvering heavy items safely.
- Basic knowledge of safe loading, securing, and transporting goods; familiarity with moving tools and equipment is an asset.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills, with a professional and respectful approach to clients and colleagues.
- Reliable time management and organizational skills to follow schedules, meet deadlines, and support efficient operations.
- Commitment to safety practices, attention to detail, and accountability in handling customers’ property and company equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record are preferred; experience driving trucks or vans is an asset.
- Previous experience in moving, logistics, construction support, or property operations is beneficial but not required.
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions, adapt to changing tasks, and learn standardized operational procedures.
