MSALABS is an experienced global provider of geochemical laboratory services to the exploration and mining industries in Canada, the USA and around the world. We have a rapidly growing network of laboratories in key mining regions around the world to limit lead times and transit costs and we employ the latest hi-tech analysis equipment.
We are looking for a dedicated and detail orientated self-starter who has the following skills and experience and is able to work in our Surrey & Langley location
Responsibilities:
- Carry out Logistics procedures in accordance with documented SOP’s or recognized standard reference methods.
- Report any deviation from documented procedures to the Logistics Supervisor.
- Inform the Logistics Supervisor of any nonconforming event related to client samples, or other departmental operations.
- Inform the Logistics Supervisor of any unsafe conditions within the department.
- Follow all HSE protocols.
- Act in a safe and professional manner and wear appropriate attire including the required personal protective equipment.
- Ensure proper functioning of Logistics operations by monitoring the performance of the equipment, ensuring adequate inventory of supplies, and practicing good housekeeping.
- Communicate general laboratory issues to the Logistics Supervisor as appropriate.
- Some lifting is required, up to 50lbs.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Able to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in English.
- Detail oriented and ability to work well under pressure.
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years' experience in logistics at a commercial lab or equivalent.
- Must be fit and able to perform the inherent requirements of the job.
