Role Description The Senior Mortgage Specialist is a full-time, on-site position based in Montreal, QC. This role involves advising clients on residential mortgage options, analyzing their financial situations, and recommending suitable mortgage products that align with their goals. The specialist will manage the end-to-end mortgage process, including pre-qualification, application submission, documentation follow-up, and coordination with lending partners. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining strong relationships with clients and financial institutions, staying current on market trends and lending policies, and delivering clear, transparent guidance throughout the mortgage journey. The role also includes participating in local business development and mortgage marketing initiatives to expand the client base and strengthen the brand presence.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Mortgages and Mortgage Lending, with proven experience advising on residential mortgage products.
- Solid background in Finance, including the ability to analyze credit profiles, income, and debt to assess mortgage eligibility.
- Experience in Mortgage Marketing, with the ability to develop and support initiatives that attract and retain clients.
- Excellent Customer Service skills, with a commitment to delivering transparent, respectful, and professional client support.
- Relevant provincial licensing or accreditation to practice as a mortgage specialist in Quebec (or eligibility to obtain it).
- Strong communication skills in English and French, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively on-site, collaborate with team members, and manage multiple client files concurrently.
- Previous experience in a senior mortgage, brokerage, or financial advisory role is an asset.
