"No two projects are quite the same, and neither are the challenges. One day you might be leading a discovery workshop, the next you're mapping out a new user experience, working through wireframes, reviewing a website build, or helping a client figure out what comes next."
The Big Picture!
For almost 20 years, Nascent has helped build digital products for partners like TELUS, Cineplex, Mastercard, PayPal and RBC and other organizations who are passionate about creating great digital experiences that make an impact on their customers.
We're looking for a UX & Product Strategist who loves figuring out what makes a digital experience work, what's getting in the way, and how to make it better. Someone who's naturally curious, asks great questions, and enjoys moving between big-picture thinking and hands-on problem-solving.
You understand that great digital experiences start with understanding people and their needs, but you also know how to turn those insights into action. You can help clients identify the right problems to solve, shape product direction, and translate ideas into thoughtful, effective digital experiences.
You bring structure to projects, helping clients make sense of their challenges and determine the best path forward. You're comfortable leading discovery, evaluating existing websites and applications, mapping user journeys, and turning findings into clear recommendations. And when it's time to move into execution, you're just as comfortable getting hands-on with user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and UX/UI design.
You're analytical, creative, and versatile. You know how to connect user needs, business goals, and technical considerations, and you take pride in being involved in the work, not just advising on it. Whether you're defining a strategy, working through design challenges, or collaborating with developers to bring an experience to life, you're happy to roll up your sleeves and contribute.
Why you’re right for this full-time, in office, opportunity
We believe great digital experiences come from bringing together thoughtful strategy, strong design, and a deep understanding of the people who use what we build. We're looking for someone who brings:
- 4+ years of experience in UX design, product strategy, UX research, digital consulting, or a related role, ideally working on websites, apps, or digital products.
- Strong UX fundamentals, including an understanding of usability, information architecture, interaction design, and user journeys.
- Experience leading or contributing to discovery, stakeholder interviews, workshops, UX audits, and research.
- The ability to connect user needs and business objectives, challenge assumptions, and turn ambiguity into clear direction.
- Hands-on experience creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and/or interface designs. You're comfortable working in Figma.
- An understanding of how functionality, content, and technology come together to shape effective digital experiences.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present ideas, facilitate conversations, and work confidently with clients.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work closely with designers, developers, and other team members.
- The flexibility to work across different projects, industries, and stages of the digital product lifecycle.
A sneak peek at what you’ll be doing
- Lead and contribute to discovery, helping clients clarify their goals, understand their users, and identify opportunities.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, facilitate workshops, and evaluate existing digital experiences.
- Map user journeys, review content and information architecture, and identify opportunities to improve the experience.
- Translate research and business requirements into product recommendations, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and design concepts.
- Get hands-on with UX and UI design, helping shape intuitive and effective digital experiences.
- Collaborate with designers and developers to work through challenges, refine ideas, and bring digital products to life.
- Help define requirements, establish priorities, and ensure user needs and product goals carry through into delivery.
- Jump in wherever your skills can make a difference, from supporting a design sprint to reviewing a build or helping move a project forward.
What you bring to the table
- Excitement to work side by side with the team each day at our Toronto office
- A love for collaboration, real-time ideating, and working through problems together
- A combination of strategic thinking, problem-solving, and hands-on UX skills
- Curiosity, creativity, and a practical, user-centred mindset
- The ability to work independently, take ownership, and adapt to whatever a project needs
Most importantly, you're someone who enjoys both figuring things out and making things happen
