A career as a Trader Support Specialist within the Segregation & Buy-Ins Team at National Bank means acting as the primary operational contact for Front Office trading teams. Leveraging your knowledge of financial products, capital markets, and trade management systems, you will play a key role in supporting our internal partners and contributing to the efficiency and integrity of trading operations.
Your Role
- Provide operational support to trading desks covering listed products, derivatives, private placements, and collateral activities.
- Process trade cancellation and correction requests from institutional trading partners, including amendments to price, settlement date, fees, and other trade details.
- Manage transactional adjustments for NBF and NBCFI entities.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues related to trade processing and settlement.
- Work closely with Compliance, Operations, Technology, and other business partners to ensure smooth and accurate transaction processing.
Your Team
The Segregation & Buy-Ins Team, part of the Capital Markets sector, plays a critical role in supporting trading activities. The team is responsible for ensuring trade integrity and overseeing a broad range of financial products, including listed securities, derivatives, securities lending and borrowing, collateral, and private placements.
Through its expertise and collaboration with multiple business units, the team contributes directly to operational excellence, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
This position reports to the Director, Segregation & Buy-Ins. The team operates in a hybrid work environment, Monday through Friday, with standard working hours from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., based on operational requirements.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of financial products and capital markets.
- Experience working with trade management systems (Bloomberg, Calypso, Murex, or similar platforms).
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Knowledge of institutional capital markets operations.
- Experience in trade support, trade settlement, or post-trade processing environments.
- Familiarity with securities financing transactions, collateral management, or derivative products.
Languages: French, English
