Role Description The Security Guard Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Charlottetown, PE. This position oversees security guard teams, including scheduling, task assignments, and performance monitoring to ensure consistent coverage and adherence to company procedures. The supervisor conducts site patrols, reviews incident reports, and supports investigations to maintain a safe environment for clients, visitors, and staff. Day-to-day responsibilities include training and mentoring guards, coordinating with client representatives, addressing security concerns, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards. The role also requires maintaining clear documentation, enforcing access control protocols, and responding promptly to emergencies or security-related issues.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Skills and Customer Service abilities to interact effectively with clients, the public, and team members.
- Candidates should possess skills in Physical Security and Private Security to oversee patrols, site protection, and incident response.
- Candidates should possess Personnel Security skills to supervise security staff, maintain discipline, and support recruitment and training efforts.
- Experience in security supervision or a related leadership role in law enforcement, military, or private security is beneficial.
- Knowledge of relevant security regulations, emergency procedures, and reporting standards is preferred.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, make sound decisions, and manage multiple priorities on site.
- Valid security guard license (as required by provincial regulations) and clean background check are required.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
